Tell us a bit about being an Underwriter?

I’ve been dealing with Global Programs for most of my insurance career.  Putting together Global Program solutions far and wide but now I’m taking a deep dive in UW. I’m happy to scope out different types of risks and provide a suitable solution.

How do you like your coffee?

Piccolo or Strong latte is the way to go.

What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?

Life, in general, is an achievement. My family and work is my biggest achievement. Never take anything for granted. I’m also a bit of a Taekwondo expert, so I can kick butt.

What does a typical day look like for you and what are you currently working on?

I love a plan and love it when a plan comes together. My work is quite similar to that. Working smart, working hard, planning the day, and enjoying everyone’s company.

Efficient, Effective, and Reliable

What is something people in insurance have to deal with that you want to fix?

Education and learning materials are awesome but sometimes the face-to-face learning is priceless and very valuable.

What do you like most about working with brokers?

Relationships are important with brokers.  Understanding their perspective and where they are coming from but also advising where we are coming from. Always great speaking to them as they want to understand the risk better.

When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried?

My children always make me laugh, sometimes I join them.  

What podcasts or books are listening to/reading right now?

I listen to a lot of autobiographies when I have time. Always find good gems when reading or listening to those.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Too many. Don’t tempt me.
