Berkley Insurance Australia named NIBA’s 2020 General Insurer of the Year

We are proud to announce that Berkley Insurance Australia has achieved major recognition by receiving Australia’s most prestigious industry award for insurers, the NIBA 2020 General Insurer of the of the Year Award. 

The annual award was just announced at NIBA’s annual conference this year held virtually.  The awards are voted on by hundreds of brokers across the country who choose the best performing insurer across a variety of categories including service quality and products.

CEO, Tony Wheatley was presented the award virtually saying “Berkley Insurance Australia only started in this country just over 12 years ago and we are honoured to receive this award and be considered in such esteemed company as the previous recipients”

Tony Wheatley also stated that BIA focuses on doing the simple things really well “Having decision makers with expertise as close to the brokers as possible, responding to submissions within hours and issuing policy documents quickly and with accuracy. We pride ourselves on being responsive to phone calls and helping brokers even if we can’t write the risk ourselves. Our claims service is focused on fairness and achieving the best outcome for our insured customers when our policies respond.”
