Berkley Insurance Australia is a Finalist for Insurance In-House Team of the Year 2020

Berkley Insurance Australia (BIA) Australia’s specialist Insurer has been recognised for its dedication to service by the prestigious Australasian Law Awards 2020.  Their expert claims team has been selected as a finalist for the Insurance In-House Team of the Year.

The Australasian Law Awards has been a tradition within the legal sector for a number of years. The awards night celebrates excellence in the legal profession, recognising leading firms, in-house legal teams and others in the profession for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months. The 2020 award ceremony will be held at The Star in Sydney on Thursday 21st May.

The hand-picked, highly trained and experienced claims management professionals centrally located in Sydney are proactive in recognising and paying claims that arise under any policy of insurance written by a professional team of underwriters.

The BIA Claims team prides themselves on their philosophy “Play Fair, Pay Early” applying it to all their cases. When the team responds to a claim they focus on treating their broker and clients as individuals by understanding the unique risk exposures that affect their unique businesses.

Last year BIA was also a finalist in this category and has been for the last five years.  According to a recent survey of BIA’s Claims teams’ performance in comparison to its competitors.  BIA engages with greater responsiveness than other insurers, maintains a high level of engagement and demonstrates a great depth of understanding about the relevant issues, whilst always remaining mindful of duties owed to insureds.
