Community Underwriting

Berkley Insurance Australia (BIA) is the proud insurance provider for Community Underwriting, a unique agency that provides insurance to around 4,000 Not-for-Profits across Australia. For over a decade, this initiative has redistributed millions of dollars in surplus funds back into the NFP sector, supporting charities like Meals on Wheels NSW and Dementia Australia.

Berkley Asia Pacific Social Club

This is our internal committee of passionate staff who give up their time to organise events, fundraisers and programs that support our charitable endeavours. In addition to raising funds, these events give our staff a valuable opportunity to learn more about causes that matter to their colleagues and the community.

2026 Initiative

In 2026, Berkley Insurance Australia is proud to support Two Good Co by donating $1 for every policy bound on bindIT.

Two Good Co is dedicated to empowering women who have experienced homelessness, domestic violence, and other complex challenges. By providing employment pathways, training, and access to nutritious food, Two Good helps women build confidence, independence, and a pathway to a fresh start. We are proud to contribute to outcomes that strengthen individuals and families across the country.

In 2025, Berkley Insurance Australia supported Red Tree Foundation by donating $1 for every policy bound on bindIT. We believe in the power of local support, and this initiative allows us to extend the foundation’s reach directly into the communities that need it most.

The Red Tree Foundation plays a critical role in assisting families navigating the sudden and unexpected death of a child. By offering essential resources, guidance, and comfort, they help families manage the complexities of grief and begin the long process of healing. Through this partnership, every bind on our platform helps provide a lifeline to those facing their most difficult moments.
In 2024, Berkley Insurance Australia supported Solar Buddy by donating $1 for every policy bound on bindIT. This alliance is driven by our belief in equality of opportunity; we recognize that extreme energy poverty is a significant barrier to education and health for millions of children worldwide.

By giving solar lights to children living off the grid, SolarBuddy creates a tangible impact on their safety and ability to study after dark. Our goal is to contribute directly to SolarBuddy’s mission of enhancing educational outcomes and economic stability, helping to illuminate a brighter future, one policy at a time.
A cancer diagnosis is a heavy burden for any family, but it is especially devastating when it affects a child. For too long, treatment options for childhood brain cancer have remained stagnant, with little improvement over the last 30 years.

BIA is proud that our 2023 charitable activities contributed to the vital work of the Children’s Brain Cancer Centre. This talented, dedicated group of researchers is working tirelessly to change the narrative, making positive strides toward better qualities of life and improved outcomes for these brave kids and their families.
